Proces se začne z dovajanjem baliranih plastenk, sledi razbirač bal, odstranjevanje etiket, ročna sortiranja in zaznavanje kovin. Plastenkam nato sledi drobljenje in večstopenjski postopek pranja, trenja in odvlaževanja. Linija ima parni pralnik, ki deluje z vodo pri približno 90–95 °C in skupaj s čistili odstranjuje olja, umazanijo, lepila in ostanke etiket. Tok kosmičev se dodatno očisti v pralnikih s plavanjem in potapljanjem za ločevanje pokrovčkov, ostankov etiket in drugih nečistoč. Končno sušenje poteka prek visokohitrostnih odvlaževalnih naprav.
