The VARIOVAC Optimus tray sealer is a machine designed for the production and separation of individual tray packs, in which the product is packaged under pressure, vacuum, or in a protective atmosphere. The Variovac tray sealer is only suitable for packing products that do not protrude over the edge of the tray.

APET tray is formed from a film roll using adjustable preheating, vacuum, and top air pressure.
Best-before date can be set on the forming device.
Vacuum packaging is performed before the upper film is sealed. The machine is also equipped for gas flushing (MAP packaging).

Sealing of the top film is cooled using a water chiller.
Tray cutting is performed using transverse and longitudinal cuts.
The finished product exits the machine via a conveyor belt.
Edge scrap is wound onto take-up reels, and centre strip scrap is extracted by a pipe into a collection bin.
Current tray format: 8.6 cm x 7.6 cm x 3.2 cm – fill volume 135–150 ml.
Tray format can be changed up to 300 ml.
Optional sale with or without a two-head stainless steel filler. Filling process as follows:
- Using a two-head pneumatically synchronized filler with adjustable dosing. The filler is equipped with a pneumatic transfer pump from a Laska cart to the upper hopper.
