The Pall CFS system is designed as a standalone unit and can be installed directly in front of the bottling line without the need for a buffer tank. It is a fully independent process unit comprising the following components: filter vessel, piping and connectors, membrane cleaning-in-place (CIP) module, integrity testing section, and control panel. The hygienic design, straightforward integrity testing, and full automation ensure the system’s microbiological safety and allow it to be generally operated by bottling line personnel. In cluster filtration, filter elements are grouped into clusters. Each cluster features its own outlet valve. During filtration, all clusters are open. Cleaning, sterilization, and integrity testing are carried out per cluster.
