Product description

The horizontal metal band saw with pivoting saw bow allows for cuts both perpendicular to the workpiece axis and at any angles between 0° and 60°.

Material to be cut can be fed manually or by any mechanical feed system, while the tool feed is automatic.

The blade guides are fitted with special carbide plates and bearings, which have a significant impact on the guidance of the saw blade, its service life, straightness, and the accuracy and quality of the cut.

The saw bow, featuring a rigid design, is made from profiled cast iron, ensuring high stability and minimal vibration during cutting. A control panel is located on the bow for machine operation.

The drive from the electric motor to the drive wheel of the blade is via a worm gearbox. The saw blade is tensioned on two cast iron wheels and guided by a manual tensioning mechanism as well as adjustable rolling and sliding carbide guides.

Inside the machine is a separate coolant tank with electric pump, which extends the blade service life and improves cutting quality.

The blade descent speed (cutting speed) is regulated via a hydraulic cylinder, while the feed speed is set from the machine’s control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 36 and 72 m/min.

When the saw bow reaches its lowest position (after cutting through the material), the saw blade drive is automatically switched off.

Safety features include:
- Saw blade protective covers
- Micro switches that stop the motor when the cutting cycle is completed or if a cover is opened
- Automatic machine shut-off in the event of blade breakage
