The CORMAK HBS260 bandsaw for cutting pipes, profiles and bars is widely used in all metalworking workshops where precision, quality and cutting speed are important. This model is equipped with a swiveling arm adjustable from 0–60°. The robust frame construction ensures precise and quiet operation. It features a removable chip tray for easy cleaning!

Machine Features

The horizontal metal bandsaw with a swiveling arm allows perpendicular cuts as well as angled cuts in the range of 0 to 60°. Material can be fed manually or via any mechanical device, while the blade feed is automatic. The blade guides are equipped with special carbide plates and bearings. This greatly enhances blade tracking, blade life, cutting accuracy, and cut quality. Carbide guidance significantly reduces wear on both the machine and the blade. The machine is equipped with an efficient coolant pump with a closed circuit system.

The saw arm is made from a single cast iron piece, and together with the 27 mm wide blade used in this saw, it allows reliable, repeatable serial cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vise is mounted on an adjustable bed and features a quick clamp. The blade guides are equipped with carbide plates – solid carbide inserts – and a ball bearing system. It is THESE CARBIDE GUIDES that ensure the precision and straightness of the cuts.

The upper surface of the base is formed as a tray for draining coolant and collecting chips generated during cutting. A cast iron work table with a swiveling arm and a control panel on a separate arm are mounted to the base. During the cutting process, the main cutting motion is the movement of the saw blade, while the feed is provided by the downward movement of the arm. The feed speed (cutting speed) is adjustable via a hydraulic cylinder.

Feed speed is adjustable from the machine's control panel. There are two selectable blade speeds: 35 and 70 m/min. After the cut is completed (when the arm reaches the lower position), the blade drive is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by blade guards and micro-switches that cut off power to the motor at the end of the cycle or upon opening any of the covers. Additional protection includes automatic machine shutdown in the event the blade breaks.
