This system enables the size reduction and compaction of chips generated by turning and milling operations. The volume is significantly reduced, and the briquettes are separated from the coolants (coolant emulsion, oil) absorbed during previous machining processes. The system consists of a feed hopper into which the material to be processed is loaded, and an integrated shredder that reduces the chip length. A conveyor system continuously and gradually feeds the shredded chips into the hopper of the chip press via a conveyor belt. There, two augers transport the material into the compaction chamber. The system features a monitored liquid collecting tank and a pump. The cooling fluids can be returned to the production process.
