Machine Description

The CORMAK H-50/70 double-column band saw is a high-performance machine for semi-automatic cutting cycles, suitable for solids and profiles made of steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. The double-column design provides increased rigidity during the cutting process. The use of an entirely different arm and blade guidance technology compared to scissor-type machines significantly reduces cutting time and increases cutting accuracy.

In the semi-automatic CORMAK H-50/70 band saw, once the cycle is started, the complete cutting sequence—including clamping the material in a hydraulic vise, blade feed start, arm descent (with stepless speed adjustment), machine stop after cutting, arm raise (with adjustable raise height), and hydraulic vise release—is performed automatically. Manual operation is reduced to positioning the workpiece against the stop. The robust arm, made from a single cast iron piece, combined with a solid and stable construction, provides the CORMAK H-50/70 band saw with exceptional rigidity, translating to reliable operation and high cutting precision.

The blade tensioning system ensures optimal working conditions for the saw blade. In case the blade breaks, the machine stops automatically. Blade guidance precision is assured by guides consisting of bearings and hard metal (carbide) inserts.
