The Filter System

The mobile filter unit type StrongMaster IFA is especially suited for welding operations involving unalloyed and alloyed steels, galvanized materials, and aluminum where there is heavy fume generation. It complies with the safety requirements for equipment of welding fume class "W3" (high-alloy steels with alloy components > 30% nickel-based alloy). When used as intended, the unit can be operated in recirculation mode, as it fulfills the conditions for exemptions in accordance with TRGS 560. The filter is cleaned from the clean air side through a maintenance door using a compressed air gun. The cleaned-off particles fall into a dust collection drawer for convenient disposal. The powerful centrifugal fan ensures a high air flow even with saturated filter cartridges.

A deflection plate serves as a pre-separator for coarse particles. The downstream filter cartridge (dust class M, separation efficiency >99%) removes even the finest fume and dust particles. The cartridge is factory-coated for extended service life.

The Extraction Arm

The extraction arm is easily positioned by the three internal, spring-supported joints and remains stable in the set position. An integrated throttle valve in the extraction hood allows for adjustment of the air flow.
