The Filter Unit

The mobile filter unit Cartmaster IFA is particularly suitable for welding applications with unalloyed and alloyed steels, galvanized materials, and aluminium in environments with high fume generation due to its automatic cleaning system. It meets the safety requirements for devices in welding fume class "W3" (high-alloyed steels with alloy components > 30% nickel-based alloy). When used as intended, the system can be operated in recirculation mode, as it fulfills the exception regulations according to TRGS 560. The specifically developed, contamination-dependent cleaning system ensures excellent filter cartridge regeneration, guaranteeing optimal extraction performance throughout operation. The separated particles are collected in a dust drawer, from which they can be properly disposed of. The powerful screw fan maintains high airflow even when the filter cartridge is saturated.

Filter Media

A baffle plate serves as a pre-separator for coarse particles. The subsequent filter cartridge (dust class M, separation efficiency >99%) filters the finest fumes and dust particles. The cartridge is factory coated, which increases service life.

The Extraction Arm

The extraction arm can be effortlessly positioned via its 3 internal, spring-supported joints and remains stable in the selected position. A throttle valve integrated in the extraction hood enables adjustment of the airflow volume.
