The strapping banding machines of the SKINETTA series are designed to tightly band or wrap individual products or multiple items with polyethylene film. Unlike shrink wrapping machines, the overwrapping film is pulled tightly around the package before sealing, which is the primary benefit of this process. This results in up to 20% less film usage.

A special advantage of the patented SKINETTA tensioning system is the infinitely variable, fine adjustment of the tension.

The sealing (welding) of the film occurs in a minimal space, creating a clean seal seam with very small protrusions. By adding a SKINETTAther or SKINETTAshrink shrink tunnel and using a sufficiently wide film, the excess film extending beyond the package can be shrunk to the sides. This process further stabilizes the package and prevents individual products from slipping out of multipacks. Full enclosure by sealing, end-sealing, and side folding is possible with corresponding additional units.

The SKINETTA strapping banding machine range includes six base types for film widths of 25 mm, 200 mm, 290 mm, 440 mm, 590 mm, 790 mm, and 1250 mm. To increase output, two- to four-lane systems are offered in addition to the single-lane version. On the SK series (semi-automatic), items are grouped manually by an operator on the machine table. Film insertion and subsequent tight banding is triggered by foot pedal or two-hand control. Later upgrade to full automation is possible (except for SK 200 type). The ASK series (fully automatic) features automated feeding, grouping, and banding using additional units. Modular feeders, groupers, formers, and special devices—based on over 20 years of experience—allow adaptation to diverse customer requirements with proven standard components.
