Sartorius Stedim Biotech BioWelder 16370
The BioWelder operates using a thermal welding cycle, which does not require laminar airflow. During this welding process, the blade is kept sterile and endotoxin-free throughout the entire procedure.
The inserted tubing is cut with a blade and then fused together by the device. The cycle is fully automated and releases the finished weld only after the process is complete.
Various programmable holders enable welding of the same type of thermoplastic tubing (e.g., C-Flex, Sanipure, Pharmed) with outer diameters from 6.4 mm (1/4") to 19.0 mm (3/4").
