Priporočljivo je namestiti dober transportni trak z regulacijo hitrosti pred profiler. Kot surovino je možno uspešno uporabljati krompir in korenje (rezano). Lahko se uporabljajo tudi surovine v obliki kock. Priporoča se predhodno lupljenje vseh surovin pred uporabo. Predhodno olupljena surovina izboljša kakovost končnega izdelka, poveča zmogljivost in podaljša življenjsko dobo rezalnih robov na oblikovalnih valjih. Po postopku oblikovanja je priporočljivo, da se izdelki operejo. Za odstranjevanje sekundarnega proizvoda priporočamo namestitev črpalke ali drugega transportnega sistema pod stroj. Pri proizvodnji kroglic iz predhodno olupljenih surovin ustrezne velikosti je lahko količina sekundarnega proizvoda skoraj enaka količini proizvedenega primarnega izdelka.
