The Master delivers precision sanding. It encapsulates the essence of our 75 years’ experience in sanding technology. This means it comes equipped "out of the box" with all the features essential for fast, reliable production of perfect surfaces—nothing more, nothing less. The core model Kündig Master is fitted with a calibration roller and a sanding pad unit, based on a proven design that guarantees long-term maintenance of high sanding precision—even across its generous working width of 1350 mm. In addition, a control unit is integrated for fast and intuitive operation.

Sanding units – Proven combination

The sanding system relies on a tried-and-tested combination of calibration roller and sanding pad. For optimal workpiece guidance, a parallel-sprung steel pressure roller is fitted at the machine infeed, with rubber pressure rollers placed between the sanding units.

Calibration Unit (R): The calibration unit consists of a grooved rubber contact roller of proven hardness. It is ideal for calibration tasks, even for higher material removal rates if required. The contact roller level is infinitely adjustable to compensate for the thickness of the inserted abrasive grain.

Segmented sanding pad (E): Equipped with the E-Plus configuration, the fine sanding unit features—not pneumatically, but—an electronically controlled, segmented sanding pad with a scanning width of 35 mm. This enables even more precise fine sanding at the edges of workpieces. The edge pressure of the sanding segments is automatically regulated, but can also be precisely adjusted via the touchscreen to further refine the finish around the workpiece edges. Changing the graphite glide belt is also quick and easy.

Equipment – At a glance

Construction: In terms of robustness and durability, the Master is on par with our other model ranges. It benefits from the same solid construction that makes all of our machines long-term investments, and is designed to deliver precise sanding results for many years.

Upper section adjustment: For over thirty years, we have equipped our machines exclusively with upper section adjustment. Why? Although it is more complex to engineer than table adjustment, it offers numerous advantages: Greater permissible workpiece weights, better long-term precision, and the consistent working height.

Workpiece dimensions: Adjustment of the upper section (clearance opening) is motorized and finely regulated via touchscreen. The maximum clearance height is 160 mm. With a working width of 1350 mm, the Kündig Master offers a generous, well-established standard dimension.
