Only components (SIEMENS) that are readily available in Germany are used in the control cabinet. All safety equipment, except the light curtains, is supplied by SICK. The control system is supplied by SIEMENS (S7 1500) including the 15-inch touchscreen monitor. The SIEMENS remote maintenance unit SECOME-Ethernet is included in the scope of delivery. Oil tank with oil cooling: The tank holds 1,500 l. The oil is cooled by a dedicated pump, which activates at 30°C. Oil filtration system: Independent of the main and cooling pumps, the press features a filtration circuit. The pump runs continuously but only requires 1.5 kW. Energy-saving function: If the main pump is not required for a preset period, it switches to energy-saving mode and then consumes only about 2 kW/h. The pump is immediately at full capacity again when pressure is required. Safety technology: Optionally, safety PLCs from SICK or Pilz can be selected. The light curtains are from the same manufacturer or from German manufacturer SCHMERSAL. Control cabinet: 40% of the control cabinet space remains available for future installations. All components inside the cabinet are from SIEMENS. Screws: All screws used in the machine are zinc-plated or yellow passivated. Oil drip tray: The hydraulic block and pump are placed in a small oil drip tray to collect any oil during repair or hose change. Noise emissions: According to standards, the press produces a maximum of 67 decibels. Accessories: Roller loading bridges: Two removable loading bridges with rollers, each 1500 mm long, supports equipped with large heavy-duty castors. Parallelism monitoring: Both cylinders are monitored by Balluff position measuring systems and Sick wire-draw encoders. Parallelism monitoring activates at the start of the pressing operation. Monitoring accuracy can be set via the controller. The function is deactivated during idle travel. On each outer side of the ram, a SICK cable-pull encoder measures position. The controller opens or closes the oil flow to the cylinders using specially designed fast valves. Achievable parallelism accuracy across the entire width is better than 1 mm.
