The FP2 comes from a government laboratory where it saw very little use. It includes an accessory cabinet with comprehensive tooling. The machine has very little backlash, and all the axes move smoothly. The geometry is outstanding. Even at maximum speeds, the milling machine operates smoothly. With this newer FP2 model, the feed can be steplessly controlled in all three axes, and each axis also has a rapid traverse. A major advantage is the active 3-axis digital readout. With this Heidenhain control system, you can enter dimensions which the machine will automatically position to. An oil change has been performed. Mechanically and electrically tested.
