Construction and Technology

The core of the CORMAK TORNADO 460x1000 lathe is a massive, precisely machined cast iron bed, ensuring stability under all working conditions. The spindle, with a D1-8 nose and mounted in a reinforced bearing system, guarantees high rigidity and smooth operation at speeds ranging from 25 to 2000 rpm. The use of hardened and ground gears provides the headstock with exceptional durability and quiet operation.

Precision and Operating Efficiency

An integrated digital readout for the X and Z axes enables precise tool positioning, ensuring high process repeatability. A rapid traverse joystick simplifies carriage operation, reducing setup and finishing times. The thread dial indicator makes engaging the carriage quick and easy, eliminating the need for manual thread counting.
