The primary purpose of this type of lathe is pipe machining. Accordingly, this machine type is widely used in the oil industry. Pipe-threading lathes offer substantial capabilities for threading connections on cylindrical and conical internal and external surfaces of large-diameter pipes. Clamping pipes with double chucks and the provided pipe supports allow the machining of extra-long pipes. Suitable both for assembling components and systems for the oil and transmission industries, as well as for maintenance work on such plants.
