Description:
The high-performance Weima shredders, with their versatile applications, can process all types of wood materials (hardwood, softwood, chipboard, MDF, plywood, veneer residues, etc.) into fuel chips. Especially with bulky materials, they achieve significant volume reduction.

Functionality:

The machine is equipped with a large hopper and can be fed either by conveyor belt or manually. This hopper can be adapted to individual requirements and guarantees continuous and cost-effective material feed without the need for manual assistance.

The hydraulically controlled pusher feeds the wood waste to be shredded to the rotor’s cutting area and is automatically and load-dependently regulated. The internal pusher guides are made from highly wear-resistant plastic (polyamide) and are adjustable. The hydraulic cylinders are mounted with universal joints to avoid lateral forces on the piston seals.

The patented, profiled V-rotor made of solid steel has a diameter of 252 mm and operates at a rotor speed of 80–120 rpm. The concave-ground, aggressive, and four-way reversible knives/cutting crowns are seated in milled knife pockets on special knife carriers. This patented system guarantees, for the first time, a reduction in the cutting gap between counter knife and rotor, ensuring high throughput, low energy consumption, and optimum discharge of shredded material.

The screen located below the rotor determines the chip size (10–100 mm). Optionally, a hydraulically opening screen basket is also available.

Power transmission from the electric motors is via V-belts to a heavily dimensioned gearbox, which is mounted on the end of the rotor shaft on one side.
