The SB-10 grinding machine enables flawless grinding of boring bars, thread-cutting tools, parting-off tools, or boring bar steels made of HSS or carbide for jig boring machines or lathes. By selecting the correct rake angle to suit the respective material, you achieve optimum utilization and a longer service life of the tools. These boring bars are still mostly ground by hand today and are subsequently used on high-quality machine tools.

On the SB-10, the steels are ground using a profiled grinding wheel at the circumference. The desired profile is achieved effortlessly with a dressing diamond and the template mounted on the machine. For excellent stability and surface quality, the horizontal carriage is mounted on cross-roller guideways.
