The SBO 6/10 features 6 cavities and 10 heating modules.
Operates with a variety of bottle sizes and designs from 0.25 to 3 liters.
Two-stage PET stretch blow molding machines from Sidel require pre-manufactured preforms to be fed into the machine. Separating the processes for producing bottles and preforms allows for production optimization, greater operational flexibility, and provides a higher production capacity and yield.

PREFORM HEATING UNIT
The preforms are transported with the necks facing upward to the heating unit. This module ensures that preforms are rotated before passing neck-down in front of the heating elements, and again afterward. During the heating phase, the preforms are rotated and the necks are shielded from heat to optimize thermal distribution without distorting the neck. Heating is performed via 10 heating modules. Each module can accommodate up to 8 horizontally-stacked IR lamps, with air-cooled ends. The heating output of the 8 zones—matching the 8 lamp rows—is adjustable to optimize the temperature profile. These zones are regulated across all SBO models. After heating, an IR camera monitors preform temperature, enabling automatic adjustment of the controlled zones to maintain the required temperature at all times.
