UniCen series – for large, complex workpieces

With the Monforts UniCen 1000 series machine tools, you can machine large, complex components (up to 1,500 mm turning length and 1,000 mm swing diameter) fully, safely, and cost-efficiently in a single setup. Maximum flexibility is provided by five interpolating axes. The swiveling boring-milling head, rotatable around the B-axis with a 190° swivel range, positions the tools in nearly any orientation and at any angle to the workpiece. Additionally, the tool head can be automatically loaded from a chain magazine with up to 90 tools via a fully automatic tool changer. This enables even complex free-form surfaces to be produced with high surface quality.
