The machine operates in continuous generating grinding mode with automatic grinding cycles and in-machine automatic dressing of the grinding wheel.
Equipped with an automatic thread-in device for inserting the grinding wheel into the tooth gap – provides significant time savings, hydraulically swiveling.
About 10 years ago, BURRI retrofitted the profiling axis (V-axis) electronically, resulting in higher accuracy, simpler profile correction, faster dressing. Currently, a REISHAUER dressing unit Type SP-DR with a profile diamond disk is installed.
The workpiece swivel axis (A-axis) is also electronically controlled for fast, precise positioning and hydraulically clamped, allowing for quicker changeover and easier part loading.
