Bluhm Weber Legi-Air 4050S Labelling Machine

4.14.1 Basic Structure

The system is designed as an enclosed aluminium profile frame, featuring a very compact build. The control cabinets are integrated into the lower part of the frame. The main valve manifold is located behind a service door beneath the operator panel.

The system includes four workpiece stop stations. Operation is performed via a touchscreen. The control panel is mounted on the right side of the frame. The station utilises a labelling system from Bluhm Weber; please refer to the corresponding Bluhm Weber documentation for further details.

4.14.2 Functional Sequence

- Incoming workpiece carriers with I/O modules are stopped, lifted (positioned), and contacted at sub-stations 10.1 and 10.2.
- At sub-station 10.3, the I/O modules are automatically labelled. Label generation and content are processed automatically, as well as label application on the devices.
- Once labelled, the module is finalised at station 10.4; it is again stopped, lifted, and contacted. After finalisation, the workpiece carrier is automatically discharged from the station.

Motorised Large Roll Unwinder
Label rolls with a maximum diameter of up to 430 mm and up to 900 linear metres of label web ensure extended uninterrupted production. Tandem operation guarantees continuous production.

Label Applicator
Quickly exchangeable applicator pads allow for processing label sizes ranging from small rating plates to DIN A5 size EAN128 shipping labels. The Quick-Change option enables format change in just seconds. Spring-loaded applicators compensate for irregularities on product surfaces to ensure clean label application.
