The hydraulic briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series compress materials such as aluminium, copper, brass, bronze, and other non-ferrous metals into dimensionally stable cylindrical briquettes. The machines feature a robust design that ensures consistent briquette quality during continuous operation. The compaction process is achieved solely by hydraulic pressing without the addition of any binding agents. Depending on the material, the volume of the input material can be reduced by up to 90%.

The standard silo has a capacity of approx. 0.5 m³. Silos with larger capacities or special containers for integration beneath existing extraction and filtration units as a complete disposal solution are also available. Depending on customer requirements, individual MPP NEM units can be combined into a complete system. The press’s chip hopper can be loaded manually, via conveyor belt, dust extractor, or with a tipping skip. For fully automated systems, the use of a lift-and-tip device in combination with a shredder is recommended. The MPP NEM series briquetting presses are designed for the production of briquettes from homogeneous material.

The length of a briquette, depending on the model, ranges from 40 to 80 mm, and the diameter—depending on the type—from 50, 65, or 70 mm. For emulsion recovery, the briquetting press can be equipped with a drip tray to collect and reclaim coolant, cutting, and lubricating fluids. Non-ferrous metal chips up to approx. 20 mm in length are filled into the storage hopper. The hopper is equipped with an agitator at the bottom to prevent bridging and to feed material into the precompaction chamber. A hydraulic slide in this chamber precompresses the material and pushes it into the pressing block. The main press cylinder compacts the material against a vertical slide until the set press force is reached. The vertical cylinder then lifts, and the finished briquette is ejected.

The more homogeneous the input material, the more uniform the length of the produced briquettes.
