The hydraulic briquetting presses of the MPP NEM series compact materials such as aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, and other non-ferrous metals into dimensionally stable cylindrical briquettes. These machines are characterized by their robust construction, ensuring consistent briquette quality during continuous operation. The compaction process takes place without the addition of binding agents—solely via hydraulic pressing force. Depending on the material, the input material volume can be reduced by up to 90%.
The standard silo holds approx. 0.5 m³, but larger silos or special containers for installation below an existing extraction and filter system as a complete disposal unit are also available. Depending on customer requirements, MPP NEM individual machines can be combined into a complete system. The chip hopper of the press can be loaded manually, via conveyor belt, via dust extractor, or with a tilting container trolley. For systems intended for fully automatic operation, the use of a lift-and-tilt device, in conjunction with a shredder, is recommended. The MPP NEM briquetting presses are designed for the production of briquettes from homogeneous material.
The length of a briquette depends on the model and ranges from 40 to 80 mm, and the diameter varies by type (50, 65, or 70 mm). To recover emulsions, the briquetting press can be equipped with a drip tray, allowing coolants, cutting fluids, and lubricants to be collected and recovered. Non-ferrous metal chips up to approx. 20 mm in length are filled into the briquetting press's feed hopper. An agitator is built into the bottom of the hopper to prevent bridging and feed the material into the pre-compaction chamber. In this chamber, a hydraulic ram pre-compacts the material and pushes it into the press block. The main press cylinder then compresses the material against a vertical slide until the set pressing pressure is reached. The vertical cylinder subsequently lifts, and the finished, stable briquette is ejected.
The more homogeneous the input material, the more uniform the briquette lengths.
