The machine has been overhauled according to the Kellenberger measurement protocol and newly painted.

The prone-to-failure Güttinger control system was replaced with the modern BEMA X control system. This means that, in the process, the machine also received completely new electrical equipment.

The machine features a reinforced workpiece headstock for through-feed grinding of heavy workpieces.

At present, the machine does not comply with the basic safety and protection requirements as specified in the German Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV) 2015.
Raising the required minimum protection level must be determined by a risk assessment in accordance with the BetrSichV.
