The hand-held edge banding machine IMA HKA is a versatile device for the manual attachment of edge bands or veneer strips to panel-shaped workpieces. It is suitable for materials such as chipboard, blockboard, and MDF. The device can be used both manually or in combination with a processing table, offering a high degree of flexibility in application. Year of manufacture: 2001. The HKA consists of two main components:

1. Hand unit: This automatically feeds the edge strip, applies glue, and presses it onto the workpiece.

2. Processing table: Includes a vacuum pump, a temperature controller, and various control elements. The hand unit can be suspended from a cable pull to facilitate handling.

Operation:

• Guided workpiece: The hand unit is fixed to the processing table and the workpiece is moved manually.
• Guided hand unit: The workpiece is fixed with vacuum suction cups while the hand unit is guided manually.
