The SDFM-1100 roll-to-roll laminator is a multifunctional machine for lamination processes. It is designed for both cold and hot lamination. The paper is laminated on one side with film and then the web is rewound onto a roll. For cold lamination, the film is coated with a water-based adhesive and dried using a heated roller with a hot air drying system. The unwinding system delivers the paper to the laminating section, where heat and roller pressure bond the paper and film together. The rollers are equipped with a heated water circulation system with constant temperature control.

The paper roll is held in place by shafts, which are controlled by a pneumatic brake. The paper is unwound to a web aligner, which is equipped with an automatic system to align the paper web before lamination, ensuring an even film coating. In the laminator, non-adhesive film is coated with water-based adhesive and subsequently dried via a heated cylinder, or pre-coated adhesive film is unwound directly to the laminating cylinder. The laminating cylinder is heated by induction heaters. Under the laminating cylinder, paper is bonded to the film by heat and pressure generated by a lower rubber roller, which presses the film and paper together onto the laminating cylinder. The laminated web is then wound onto a core in the receiving section, from where it can be transported to further production processes.
