The overhaul for Bahmüller and Karstens cylindrical grinding machines includes the following:

1. Housing/Full Enclosure
- New paint finish in RAL 7035 and RAL 7011
- New 10 mm polycarbonate safety window
- New bearings for the workpiece change door

2. Grinding Spindle Headstock
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Inspection of bearings; if necessary, regrinding of plain bearings or replacement
- Inspection and cleaning of the lubrication system
- Overhaul of the grinding spindle
- New coolant hoses, valves, and aluminum coolant nozzles
- Installation of new belts

3. Tailstock
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Overhaul of the quill
- Inspection of bearings; if necessary, regrinding of plain bearings or replacement
- Dismantling and cleaning of the fine adjustment, replacement of defective parts if required

4. Workpiece Spindle Headstock
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Inspection of bearings, replacement if required
- Inspection and cleaning of the lubrication system
- Overhaul of the workpiece spindle
- Installation of new belts

5. Hydraulics
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Bearing of the hydraulic motor
- Overhaul or replacement of the pump if required
- Complete renewal of hoses
- Filter replacement
- Hydraulic circuit diagram

6. Pneumatics
- New maintenance unit
- New air purge unit for length measuring systems
- New pneumatic lines/connectors/distributors and small parts
- Pneumatic diagram

7. Spindle Lubrication
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Bearing of the lubrication motor
- Overhaul or replacement of the pump if required
- Inspection and cleaning of the lubrication system
- Inspection or replacement of lubrication monitoring system if necessary

8. Central Lubrication
- Complete cleaning and repainting
- Bearing of the lubrication motor
- Overhaul or replacement of the pump if required
- Inspection and cleaning of the lubrication system
- Inspection or replacement of lubrication monitoring system, if present

9. Machine Bed
- Complete cleaning inside and outside
- Grinding and new paint finish
- Rescraping and measuring of V- and flat guideways
- Installation of a new operator panel (pivotable)

10. X, Z-Axis
- New bearings on the X-axis
- New ball screws
- New axial bearings
- Surface grinding, scraping if necessary
- Overhaul of the X-axis coarse adjustment

11. Geometry

- Complete geometry hand scraping and adjustment at
grinding spindle headstock, workpiece spindle headstock, tailstock, X- and Z-axis
- Preparation of a geometry protocol

12. Electrical System
- Construction of a new Rittal control cabinet with Siemens components, contactors, motor protection switches, Finder relays, Siemens drives, NCU, power supply, Siemens PLC, etc. Optionally MPM, Jenoptik and other optional control devices
- Preparation of a new E-Plan 8 circuit diagram
- Complete new wiring with PUR cables
- New control devices, switches, and buttons (Siemens, Eaton)

13. CNC Control
- Siemens SINUMERIK ONE control system
- Siemens axis drives and frequency converters with CU
- Siemens asynchronous motor (grinding spindle)
- Siemens synchronous motors for X, Z, and workpiece spindle

14. Length Measuring Systems
- Absolute length measuring systems from Heidenhain

15. Miscellaneous
- CE marking and documentation
