The Desktop Metal Studio System 2 printer is designed from the ground up for easy installation and use. Its process is similar to the safest and most widespread 3D printing method, Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF). Unlike laser-based systems that selectively melt metal powder, the Studio System 2 extrudes bound metal rods, eliminating the complex requirements associated with metal 3D printing and enabling new features like gyroid infill for lightweight strength.
