Opis
WSM Stationary Screwdriving Unit – Screwdriving Station
Assembly of components for car radios and navigation systems, as well as testing of the same.
The assembly station is enclosed within a safety housing. The service doors are equipped with monitored safety interlocks. During automatic operation, the doors are locked and can only be opened after an automatic stop or in manual mode by pressing the 'Doors' button on the control panel. When a door is open, automatic operation cannot be started.
Functional Sequence
The station is loaded via the transfer conveyor with the pre-assembled module. Below are the automatic station's work steps during the processing of a workpiece carrier (WT). Under normal operation, all three stations run in parallel.
- Positioning of the WT with the pre-assembled module in St.2.1
- Lowering of the carrier with the scanner and vision sensor
- Scanning of three codes (front panel, front PCB, SD PCB); matching with the database
- Checking correct latching of the FFC in the connector

- Raising the carrier and lowering the WT onto the conveyor
- Positioning of the WT with the pre-assembled module in St.2.2
- Positioning of the screwdriver and fastening the front PCB
- Lowering the WT onto the conveyor
- Positioning of the WT with the pre-assembled module in St.2.3
- Lowering of the light protection cover and making electrical contact; moving in the carrier with the test sensors from below
- Type-dependent testing of the illumination for SD & CD slots and push buttons
- Functional test of the CD eject button
- Lowering the WT onto the conveyor > proceed
If an error occurs during testing, it is displayed on the screen and, if possible, can be rectified. For this, the system is switched to manual mode and the doors are opened. After repair and restarting of the automatic mode, the WT is tested again in the station.
If repair is not possible (e.g., screwdriving error), the WT is marked as NIO (not OK) in the control system and is not processed further. Manual NIO marking and removal is also possible.
