Sharpening a drill bit is completed in three steps. First, the bit is properly clamped into a fixture, then sharpening and point thinning follows.
Finished in less than a minute!

Before clamping the drill bit, the diameter is set using a rotary dial on the grinding machine. The drill bit, with the appropriate collet, is aligned and clamped to the stop in the left holder of the machine.

Sharpening the cutting edges and thinning the point is straightforward. Switch on the machine, insert the fixture with the bit into the right holder, gently rotate from stop to stop – the first cutting edge is done. Then, the fixture is rotated 180° and the second edge is ground.

Thinning the point works the same way, just in the upper holder. That’s it. Now simply switch off the machine and unclamp the drill bit.

A clever design combines an eccentric with a special grinding wheel, so you don’t have to worry about the cutting edge shape or relief angle. The added benefit: both cutting edges are produced with exactly the same setting, ensuring perfect symmetry. Furthermore, the point angle can be freely set between 90° and 140° before sharpening.

The grinding wheel has a service life of over 3,000 uses. Besides the standard CBN grinding wheel for HSS tools, we also offer a diamond grinding wheel for carbide bits. Changing the wheel takes just seconds.
The compact design of the drill bit grinder and practical carrying handle make it easy for mobile use. Since almost the entire set of accessories like collets, fixtures, or hex keys are stored on the machine, everything needed is always at hand.
