This is a drill bit grinding machine for drill bits from 8 to 30 mm, with an adjustable point angle ranging from 90° to 140°.

Standard equipment: CBN grinding wheel for HSS drill bits.

Grinding a drill bit is done in three steps. First, the drill bit is properly clamped in a fixture, followed by the grinding and pointing process. Finished in under a minute!

Before clamping the drill, the drill diameter is set using a rotary knob on the grinding machine. The drill bit, with the appropriate collet, is aligned and clamped to the stop in the fixture on the machine’s left holder.

Grinding the cutting edges and pointing is straightforward: Switch on the machine, insert the drill with the fixture into the right holder, and rotate gently from one stop to the other – the first cutting edge is finished. Now, rotate the fixture 180° and grind the second cutting edge.

Pointing is done in the same way, but in the upper holder. That’s it. Now just switch off the machine and unclamp the drill bit.

A clever design combines an eccentric with a special grinding wheel so there’s no need to worry about cutting edge geometry or clearance angle. Additionally, both cutting edges are produced with exactly the same settings, ensuring optimal symmetry. Moreover, the point angle can be freely set between 90° and 140° before grinding.

Precision collets for diameters from 8 to 30 mm in 1 mm increments guarantee concentric clamping.

The grinding wheel’s service life is over 3,000 applications. In addition to the standard CBN grinding wheel for HSS tools, a diamond grinding wheel for carbide drills is also available. Changing the wheels only takes a few seconds.

The compact design and convenient carry handle make the drill grinding machine suitable for mobile use. Since almost all system tools such as collets, fixtures, or Allen keys are stored on the machine, everything you need is always on hand.
