The temperature shock test evaluates the resistance of components, devices, and other products to rapid changes in ambient temperature. Test specimens are subjected to rapid temperature changes in air, alternating between upper and lower temperature levels under varying load conditions. Through these cyclic stresses and temperature-change-induced accelerated aging, potential weaknesses in the specimen can be identified.
