In combination with the Scharmüller cross member and Scharmüller trailer sledge, the following permissible trailer weights are possible:
- Trailer with continuous braking system: 21,000 kg
- Trailer with overrun brake: 3,500 kg
- Trailer without brakes: 750 kg
- Central axle trailer: 13,000 kg, maximum vertical load: 1,000 kg

 This transforms the U5023 into a multifunctional towing vehicle – from passenger car trailers, to central axle trailers (ZAA), to classic turntable trailers; with every conceivable coupling height, you have the right hitch!
 Perfect for operating your crane, as the Unimog is compact and capable of towing very long trailers.
 Our special edition also features a crawler gear group in the transmission: ideal for maneuvering, allowing clutch-friendly and precisely controlled speed selection at all times.
