Intended use: Suitable for imposition and processing of short print runs and single books (“books of one”) with varying sizes, page counts, and covers.

Line configuration:
1. Roll feed: unwinder, merger, Dupla cutting machine, and book assembly station for the production of book blocks with 2-up printing
2. Sheet feeder: A variable number of loose sheets can be inserted into the book block as inserts. The sheets must be the same size and print run as the book block to be processed.
3. Feed to binding machine: Station for manual feed of pre-assembled book blocks, transfer with document scanning station, book turning module, and loading robot at the binding machine
4. Variable binding machine for production of softcover books. The binding machine is equipped with PUR glue on the spine and hot-melt adhesive on the sides of the book.
5. Softcover cover machine, configured with sheet cover feeder: already printed cover sheets are fed in, trimmed at the front, side-trimmed, and creased to the correct size to match the thickness of the associated book block.
6. Cooling tower/cooling spiral (product-specific) not included in scope of delivery; can be ordered depending on customer requirements (product type). The cooling conveyor can be configured according to space requirements and installation conditions. Price of conveyor depends on configuration. We will be happy to advise you on selecting the suitable conveyor.
7. Variable three-knife trimmer for trimming books with three-dimensionally variable formats and different cover types.

The entire process is managed via 2D data matrix codes. Through the code, the system receives release for the following automatic setups and workflow controls:
• Information on book dimensions and inserts (quantity and sequence)
• Setup of the binding machine (spine position, thickness, and length)
• Cover preparation: softcover → creasing, cutting, edge trimming
• Correct cover-to-book matching
• Three-knife trimmer (knife positioning is automatically set according to book size)

Very good condition // Disassembly, machine packaging, and securing (insurance for transport of the machine) will be carried out by the manufacturer / Tecnau.
