The STEINERT WDS is especially used in the processing of dense media or iron ore with particle sizes ranging from 1 μm to 3 mm. In the regeneration of dense media, the wet drum magnetic separator essentially enables the recovery of magnetite or ferrosilicon (FeSi). By using powerful neodymium-iron-boron magnets and specially designed magnet assemblies, high field strengths are achieved, allowing for high separation rates exceeding 99%.
