The KP 900 Automatic Cross-cut Saw is an ideal solution for material preparation in pallet production and other wooden packaging products. On average, this saw can process 27–30 m³ of pallet timber or approx. 20,000 pallet blocks per 8-hour shift, depending on the cross-sectional dimensions of the processed material. The saw can be operated by one or two operators, depending on the nature of the material being handled, which is manually loaded into the machine.

Basic Cutting Modes
1. Manual Mode
Each cutting length is set by moving the material using the panel buttons or by entering the length value on the panel's dial. The cut is initiated by pressing a button on the display. This method is suitable for individual sequential cuts.

2. Automatic Mode

a) You set a single cutting dimension for the entire length of the input material. Once the cut is initiated by the foot pedal, the entire material is automatically cut to this set size. After cutting, the automatic feeder returns to the preset input length. This mode is suitable for pallet block production and enables quick transitions between different input sizes.

b) You set the desired combination of cutting sizes for the entire length of the input material. After starting the cut with the foot pedal, the machine automatically cuts the material into the selected combination of lengths. The feeder then returns to the preset input length. Up to 10 programs, each with up to 10 lengths, can be stored in the machine memory. Programs are simple to overwrite, edit, add, or delete. This mode delivers high material yield and is especially well-suited for producing cut parts for a wide range of packaging products.

In automatic mode, front and rear automatic trimming can be set.

In the standard configuration, the saw is LEFT-oriented, i.e., the material flow is from right to left.

The automatic feeding system is part of the basic saw configuration. This is a pusher mechanism moving along a precision linear guide rail with bearings, ensuring long service life of the guide rail and highly accurate positioning of the workpiece for cutting.

Integrated side and top clamps ensure secure fixing of the material during cutting, both to the worktable and the rear stop. This guarantees each cut is precise and perpendicular, with no unwanted material movement.

A clear LCD touch display enables easy and convenient machine operation. The control elements are highly visible, ergonomic, do not strain the operator’s eyes, and provide perfect oversight. The software ensures maximum ergonomics, giving the operator complete control over the machine.

The infeed worktable before cutting allows the operator to conveniently sort and prepare material, which is then fed into the machine’s loading area. This eliminates machine downtime and the need for strenuous manual material handling. The table is tilted at 8° and equipped at the end with a safety flap to prevent unintentional ejection of material beyond the operator’s reach.

A basic fixed outfeed table, two meters long and partially covered by the cutting area guard, is located after the cutting zone. Operators can safely remove the cut material without risk from offcuts, shavings, or the blade. The table is also tilted at 8°.
