With the SM1 series—also known as the AMPAG Sprint—the German manufacturer Schwede Maschinenbau GmbH has produced a true long-running machine that is still in use thousands of times today. Whether in print shops, lettershops, or in warehousing and logistics, this all-rounder is highly popular thanks to its low-maintenance and wear-resistant technology.

Our unit also features a second foot switch on the rear side and a tabletop sensor to automatically trigger the strapping process. Built in 2009, this device was already equipped by SMB with the new, user-friendly control panel, which you will also find in the latest models. With its four smooth-running heavy-duty casters and single-phase 230V power connection, this very compact machine can be deployed anywhere in your facility with ease.

Fast thanks to compact design
The compact strap frame covers a wide range of possible applications. Package sizes up to approximately 450mm x 500mm can be strapped using either 5mm or 9mm wide strapping. The short feed path for the strap through the frame enables especially fast cycle times—strapping in seconds is no problem.

Our 12-month full warranty naturally applies to the SMB AMPAG Sprint as well. So you’re on the safe side: should anything break down during this period, we will replace the defective part and install it at our own cost (excluding wear parts and travel costs).
