The vacuum and pressure impregnation process ensures deep and uniform saturation of the wood with preservative agents in a shorter time.

1. The wood is placed in a sealed chamber
2. A vacuum is created, which removes the air from the wood cells
3. The chamber is flooded with wood preservative
4. High pressure is applied, pressing the preservative deep into the wood structure
5. Finally, another vacuum is applied to fix the impregnating agent within the wood

The plant was in working condition until disassembly; control system and electrics partly require renewal

Impregnation vessel: 13,000 x 1,400 x 2,000 mm (LxWxH), weight approx. 10 tonnes
Mixing tank: 1,500 x 1,200 x 1,600 mm (LxWxH), weight approx. 200 kg
Storage tank: 6,000 x 2,000 x 2,800 mm (LxWxH), weight approx. 4 tonnes
