CNC-controlled gear grinding machine
The Siemens CNC control allows input of all relevant gearing data as well as interactive workpiece setup via the control panel. The programming language can be switched between German and English, and a DNC interface is available for importing and exporting data.
The machine operates using the continuous generating grinding method, with an automatic grinding cycle and automatic in-machine dressing of the grinding wheel.
The workpiece swivel angle is electronically controlled – fast and precise – and hydraulically clamped, resulting in faster setup times and easier part loading.
With the shift grinding feature, the workpiece is guided tangentially past the grinding wheel during machining, ensuring a consistently even grinding wheel profile is in contact with the workpiece.

Hydraulic workpiece clamping is performed with an external collet and a tailstock in the workpiece slide. The working area is fully enclosed with sliding doors, and separate control/electrical cabinets and a separate hydraulic unit inside a cabinet are provided.
No dedicated coolant unit is included (central supply).
