Prominent water treatment system, consisting of:

1. Softening: Raw water is supplied to the twin softener. Only one vessel is in operation at a time, while the other is in regeneration or on standby. In the softener, calcium and magnesium ions are replaced by sodium. The system is equipped with a volume counter, which switches to the other vessel once the preset quantity has been reached. Regeneration is carried out with brine from the brine tank. The residual hardness at the outlet is 0 °dH.

2. Reverse Osmosis: The reverse osmosis unit fills the permeate tank with demineralized water (permeate). Depending on raw water quality, water temperature, membrane condition, and correct system settings, different conductivity levels and operating pressures are achieved. Upon commissioning, the following flow rates are set: permeate 600 l/h, concentrate 200 l/h, corresponding to a yield of 75%.

3. Permeate Tank and Ozonation: The non-pressurized 500 l permeate tank is equipped with adjustable level control. For ozone treatment, the water in the permeate tank circulates through an adjustable ozone dosing point. Ozone is produced by the ozone generator via silent electrical discharge from air and is available as an ozone/air mixture. Air and un-dissolved ozone rise to the top of the permeate tank and are discharged via the residual ozone destructor. For monitoring, redox potential and ozone measurements are taken downstream of the centrifugal pump. Ozone dosage is set via the touch panel. Control can be selected by either redox potential or ozone concentration.
