Function description:
The bale loosening drum was fed with compressed paper bales from which the binding wire had previously been removed. The compressed and compact bale is broken up and loosened by baffle plates welded in parallel to the conveying direction inside the drum. A spiral welded at a pitch to the conveying direction transports the loosened material further to the drum outlet. There, it falls via a chute onto a conveyor belt for further processing.
