Thanks to its material-preserving shredding unit and optimized extrusion process, you can sustainably achieve your zero-waste production goals with the X (all production waste is recycled). Plastic waste is processed by a heavy-duty shredding unit operating at low speed to maintain the material’s properties with minimal loss. During this process, a hydraulic ram pushes the material toward the shredding shaft. Shredder and extruder drives are separately and automatically controlled according to load conditions. After shredding, the ground material is transferred directly to the extruder via the feed screw. In the extruder, the material is brought to a homogeneous melting temperature and, if necessary, degassed. All components are positioned closely to prevent oxidation of the material and to optimally utilize the heat generated during shredding. In a single process step, slow-turning shredder blades grind the plastic waste, and the ground material is continuously transferred to the extruder by the feed screw. Wide, thick, or bulky waste can be processed directly, provided it fits in the hopper, without the need for pre-shredding. The control system ensures smooth start-up of equipment components. After an unexpected stop, the machine can be restarted in less than two minutes, even with a full hopper and extruder. The material level in the hopper is continuously monitored and feed adjusted accordingly. Irregular filling of the conveyor is possible—the NGR control unit manages the rest.
