For filling, the bottles are first lifted by hydraulically controlled bottle carriers and pressed against the sealing cone of the filling valve. The valve sleeve moves to the stop inside the valve body, thereby opening the product outlet. The air inside the bottles is vented through an air pipe, creating a vacuum inside the bottle equivalent to the vacuum above the product level in the tank. The product flows by gravity into the bottles until the liquid level reaches the air pipe. The bottle is then lowered, closing the product outlet.
