This model features a swivel arm from 0 to 60°, with carbide guides for the saw blade. The frame design ensures precise and quiet operation. Machine Characteristics The horizontal band saw for metal with a pivoting arm allows for perpendicular cutting to the axis of the material or at any angle within a 0–60° range. The material can be fed manually or by any mechanical device, while tool feed is automatic. The blade guides are fitted with special carbide and bearing inserts, which greatly influence blade guidance, its service life, straightness, accuracy, and cutting quality. Carbide guiding significantly reduces wear on the machine and blade. The machine is equipped with a powerful coolant pump in a closed-loop system. The arms of the saw are made of one-piece cast iron and, combined with a 27 mm wide cutting blade, enable high-volume series cutting for both profiles and solid materials. The vise is mounted on an adjustable bed and is equipped with a quick-release clamp. The blade guides use hard metal (carbide) plates and a bearing system, ensuring high accuracy and straightness of cuts thanks to carbide guides. The base features a cast iron worktable with a swiveling arm and a control panel on a separate arm. During cutting, the primary cutting motion comes from the movement of the blade, while the arm moves down. The descending speed (cutting speed) is controlled by a hydraulic cylinder. Feed speed is regulated on the saw’s control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 37.5 and 75 m/min. Once the arm reaches the lowest position (after completing the cut), the blade drive switches off automatically. Safety is provided by the blade guards and micro-switches that stop the motor at the end of the cutting cycle or if any guard is opened. Additional protection switches off the saw automatically in case the blade breaks. Power transmission is via a motor with a worm gear drive. The motor is equipped with a thermal protection fuse to prevent overheating during operation.
