Fully automatic operation sequence and minimal secondary times through freely programmable SIEMENS program control S 5 for all machining steps such as rapid traverse, feed, cutter on/off, for the loading device, tailstock, possible shifting, etc., with piece counter,
program numbering, and with 30-step numerical error display.
Pneumatic workpiece loading and unloading device parallel to the workpiece axis for shaft-shaped workpieces approx. 140 mm long x 8 mm Ø, with pneumatic double gripper for loading and unloading the workpieces; raw parts are placed outside in exchange cassettes and
inserted into the loading device.
The double gripper brings the parts between workpiece spindle and tailstock, the tailstock quill pushes the parts into the main spindle collet and clamps them simultaneously.
Finished parts are ejected from the main spindle and returned by the gripper to the (finished parts) cassette. The entire process is electrically monitored and controlled.
The complete loading device is enclosed with Plexiglas.
