Year of manufacture: 2015. The printer has always been on display in our showroom; we have printed perhaps 10 cards with it and then decided that this type of system is not suitable for our company. That’s why it is now practically brand new and available for sale.

The Matica Espresso II is a compact yet powerful desktop card printer that combines Italian design and engineering with German reliability for consistently high performance. The Espresso II offers excellent value and versatility, exceptional print speeds, and outstanding print quality. Its robust, durable construction is ideal for both office use and card production environments.

The Espresso II is a single-sided desktop ID card printer, perfect for projects where only one side of the card needs to be printed. The printer can be easily upgraded in the field to duplex printing, doubling your card output without requiring additional hardware. On-site upgrades are also possible for contact and contactless smart card encoding.

LED status indicators on the front allow you to monitor the production process from a distance, while the blue LED light on the card hopper door shows real-time card input availability. Optional single card manual insertion is available for individualized printing, and each printer features a rear output hopper for efficient handling of large print runs. The flexible setup, with front input and output trays as standard, saves space—perfect for desktop, cabinet, or under-counter installations. Each Espresso II also offers options for integrated magnetic stripe, contact chip, or contactless smart card encoders, making it suitable for a wide range of applications such as access control, time & attendance, payment systems, and more.

The complete product line includes Ethernet as standard and optional WiFi for easy, convenient printing and encoding. You can configure your printer to match current requirements and later add features as your needs evolve.

This new printer line is ideal for diverse applications, including employee and membership ID cards, service and benefits cards, gift and loyalty cards, access control cards, student IDs, and transit passes, among others.

Espresso II is available with various configurations—modules, encoding options, colors, etc.
