Brief FDS

• Controlled by Siemens S7 PLC via Mitsubishi Beijer HMI

• Jars are fed on a constant stainless-steel rail conveyor

• Jars are automatically indexed in feed and discharge via pneumatic gates

• Jars are filled by positive pressure from a 50-litre holding tank (this could easily be changed to a constant positive pressure in the manifold via a modulated pump)

• Volume control via Nixon BNO turbine flowmeter with communication to Siemens high-speed counter

• Liquid is filled into the jar at rise or above the jar for fill time

• Complete SIP, CIP, and programmable rinsing functions available

• Jar enters, PEC signal turns the starwheel 90⁰ under the capping head
• Cap lowers into the groove and retracts in the groove

• Starwheel turns 90⁰ to discharge conveyor
• Current capping head removable, for 40 mm closures (no alternative head)
• All systems operated by cams and relays, no PI
• Motor runs continuously for capping (clutch set and var. speed gear)
