The base forms a large and solid support for the moving gantry. The machining unit is equipped with a balanced, stable, and highly durable support structure that withstands heavy loads, guaranteeing top-tier performance and superior accuracy. The moving gantry is made from a single, solid piece, anchored to the base, and runs on premium prismatic rails with ball-bearing carriages. The machining unit is attached to this and moves in the Y and Z axes, also on prismatic rails with ball-bearing carriages. The movement of the lower mobile unit (X axis) and the machining unit along the gantry (Y axis) is ensured by a rack-and-pinion drive with helical gears, resulting in greater tooth engagement for increased acceleration and higher speeds along the X and Y axes. The specially designed helical gearing reduces wear on mechanical parts and enables quieter operation. The vertical Z-axis is driven by a ball screw, which ensures perfect balance under dynamic load, as well as high acceleration and deceleration speeds. The main milling unit is directly coupled to the Z-axis carriage, providing extremely fine processing quality by eliminating vibrations.
