The guillotine shear was first commissioned in 1998.

The DNC 10 G control system was specifically designed for guillotine shears. It features a numerical axis for controlling the back gauge and automatically calculates and regulates the blade gap, cutting angle, and cutting depth based on the material to be sheared (according to the manufacturer's specifications).
