Warranty Basis: Due to wear and tear on used parts, items are generally sold as defective—for spare parts only—to commercial buyers. By placing a bid, the buyer accepts this as the basis of the purchase contract.

For used items, the warranty period is 12 months if the buyer is a consumer as defined by §13 BGB. If the buyer is an entrepreneur as defined by §14 BGB, any warranty is excluded.

For new items, the warranty period is 24 months for consumers (§13 BGB) and 12 months for entrepreneurs (§14 BGB).
